Helping pay for the hosting
Modus Ordo is free for students, and running it costs money. If you’d like to help with that, there’s a fundraiser. If you don’t, nothing changes.
Why
The app is free for students, and hosting it costs money: the website, the app and the database all have to run somewhere. This page is for anyone who’d like to help with that.
What it pays for
Here is what the money goes towards.
- Supabase, which runs the database and sign-in
- Cloudflare, which runs the website and the app
- Other running costs, which the GoFundMe page lists
The link
The fundraiser is on GoFundMe. The link opens it in a new tab, and this site never asks for card details.
Open the fundraiser on GoFundMe
The fundraiser is organised by a supporting member of Modus Ordo.
The target, and more about what the money is for, are on the GoFundMe page.
The app stays free either way
Nothing unlocks for people who give, and nothing is taken away from people who don’t. The app is the same for everyone.
How spending is reported
When money from the fundraiser pays for something, a short note goes on this page saying what it paid for, such as an upgrade to the hosting or the database.

See it for yourself
The preview opens the real app in your browser, on a fictional student’s school week. No account needed, and nothing is saved. When you’re ready, join the wishlist and we’ll email you when it opens to more people.
Under 16? Accounts are for people aged 16 and over. The preview needs no account and keeps nothing.
