Who runs it

Modus Ordo is run by the owner. “We” on this page means the person who runs it. To reach us, reply to the email your invitation came from, or email hello@modus-ordo.com.

Who can use it

  • Modus Ordo is for people aged 13 and over. Nobody under 13 can make an account.
  • You tell us your age when you make your account. We keep only its range (13 to 15, 16 or 17, or 18 and over), never the number.
  • If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to you having an account, and you tick a box to say they have. We don’t ask for their details and we don’t contact them.
  • Accounts are by invitation only for now. Each account is for one person.

Your account

  • Keep your password to yourself. Don’t let anyone else use your account.
  • If you think someone else has used it, tell us straight away.
  • Tell us the truth when the app asks you something about yourself, such as your age.

Using it fairly

When you use Modus Ordo, don’t:

  • try to break it, get into parts you aren’t meant to, or get around its limits;
  • use it to hurt, bully or harass anyone, or to make anything illegal;
  • put in anything you don’t have the right to share, such as someone else’s private information;
  • hand in work the AI wrote as your own where your school or university doesn’t allow it. Their rules about AI apply to you.

The AI

  • Juno and the rest of the team are AI. They can be wrong, so check anything that matters.
  • What the AI says is study help. It isn’t medical, legal or other professional advice.
  • If a reply is wrong or worrying, tap Not right? under it to tell us.

Your work

What you put in Modus Ordo stays yours. You let us store it and use it to run the app for you, as the Privacy page says, and for nothing else.

The service

  • Modus Ordo is free. For the AI, you bring your own key and pay the AI provider directly; we don’t charge for it. During early access, invited people also get a free allowance, up to a limit.
  • It is an early build. Parts may change, stop working for a while, or be taken away. We’ll tell you before a change that matters to you.
  • We do our best, but we can’t promise it will always work or never lose anything. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t afford to lose.
  • As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for loss caused by using the app. Nothing on this page takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Closing an account

  • You can close your account at any time, from You › Privacy in the app. The Privacy page says what happens to your data then.
  • We may close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can, we’ll tell you why first.

If these terms change

We’ll tell you before they change, and ask you to agree to the new version. These terms follow the law of Queensland, Australia.

See it for yourself

The preview opens the real app in your browser, on a fictional student’s week. No account needed, and nothing is saved. When you’re ready, join the wishlist and we’ll email you when it opens to more people.

Under 13? Accounts are for people aged 13 and over. The preview needs no account and keeps nothing.
